Solutions & Tech Applied
The project has adopted sustainability measures affecting the following elements: - Water savings: a team of ecologists has selected local plant species (with almost zero irrigation consumption) and smart water consumption meters have been installed (with savings of up to 30 %). - Energy savings: an energy certification of A has been achieved thanks to the highly efficient PANASONIC VRF heat pump units (COP/EER = 4.60/4.06) and the aerothermal units for DHW production. - Carbon footprint study: a life cycle analysis has been carried out to estimate the impact of the building on CO2 emissions during its lifetime (manufacture of materials, construction, use and maintenance and demolition). - Alternative transport: charging points for electric vehicles and a carsharing platform have been set up.
Thanks to PANASONIC 4-pipe VRF systems, it is possible to use high-efficiency heat pump units, as well as to supply several indoor units from a single outdoor unit, allowing individual control of each indoor unit by means of ducting equipment. With these systems it is possible to obtain BREEAM certification with regard to thermal comfort and reduced refrigerant impact.
Key Tech Features
Energy savings: thanks to the highly efficient PANASONIC VRF heat pumps
Waste: 95 % of construction site waste has been recovered.
