The objective was to achieve a 4-star hotel where the client could choose the mode of operation of the climate in the room and maximize the energy efficiency of the building, since it is intended for the exploitation of third parties that dominate the hotel sector in the city. In addition, a different hotel was required to differentiate itself from the rest of the competitors in the city center.
The main challenge was to carry out the installations in the little space available to leave the hotel roof free for use and exploitation as a chill out. For this, it was necessary to locate the DHW storage tanks under a sloping roof with a maximum height of less than 1.5 meters. This space below deck was also used to locate the heat recuperators from the ventilation air.
With this solution, it has been possible to reduce the energy consumption for the hotel's DHW exponentially. In addition, due to the location and architecture of the hotel, the cycle investment within it is very high and the entire hotel is perfectly air-conditioned with very little electricity consumption. To this must be added the fact of having a heated interior covered patio (with folding glass cover closure and radiant-cooling floor) that draws powerful attention and is practically full even if they are not hotel tenants.
Accumulation in thermal inertia and adjustment of the exchanger to preheat water on the way.
