Aquarea Air to Water Heat Pump, Residential
Outdoor units:
Indoor units:
This is a residential building of 33 homes, housing development with swimming pool and garage. The properties each have 3 or 4 bedrooms and a floor area between 120 and 150 m². All parties involved (promoters, architects and engineers) have followed the BIM methodology to find the best orientation of the building and thus increase the comfort of the future residents without renouncing an innovative and modern design.
Challenge
In order to arrive at the final design, year-round sunlight has been studied, observing how it affects the thermal needs of the building. Simulations have been carried out with Energy Plus, software that evaluates the integration of the design with the installations. By preference, the outdoor units were placed on the building envelope. There was concern that the excess length of cooling would affect the performance of the machines, so this was addressed with an intermediate cover.
Solutions & Tech Applied
Once the homes had been delivered, a customer satisfaction survey was carried out and 92 % of the customers noted their satisfaction with the air conditioning and DHW system. This is largely due to the training and operation lectures that customers have received from PANASONIC technicians, who teach the operation of the AQUAREA SMART CLOUD system in simple steps so that each end user can monitor the consumption and operation of the air conditioning, DHW and heating in real time.
