Panasonic secures double award-win at SEAI Energy Awards 2024
28/03/2024
Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions Ltd triumphed at the recent SEAI Energy Show in Dublin, achieving a double win for the Product of the Show Awards. Earning the title of Best Renewable Energy Product for its innovative Panasonic Aquarea L Series Air-to-water heat pump, as well as a Highly Commended in the Energy Efficient Product Award category for its R290 ECOi-W AQUA-G BLUE air-to-water reversible heat pump chiller, these two accolades are a demonstratable example of the positive impact the products are making in the energy industry.
Celebrating 30 years during 2024, the SEAI Energy Show in Dublin is a prestigious annual event for companies in the energy sector. With the emphasis on innovation and cutting-edge technology, finalists were able to promote new product development in a dedicated exhibition at the Product of the Show Awards Pavilion. This not only provides prestige and market status but additionally enables visitors to view the advanced developments leaders in the industry are taking to promote energy efficient products and align with ever-evolving building sustainability requirements.
Panasonic was amongst the leaders in product innovation, achieving a double award-win for two of its fantastic low carbon heating and cooling solutions. Attaining the title of Best Renewable Product, the Panasonic Aquarea L Series Air-to-water heat pump exhibits unparalleled efficiency with minimum environmental and auditory impact. The heat pump demonstrates accelerated excellence in sustainable HVAC technology, using natural refrigerant R290, which has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) 3. The Aquarea L Series is a compelling option for environmentally conscious consumers, seeking heating solutions that are energy-efficient, without compromising on functional capabilities and capacities including 5, 7 and 9kW.
The units offer a quick and easy-to-install system, delivering water outlet temperatures of 75°C down to -10°C. Not only does the range offer retrofit applications – for homes being renovated that have pre-installed radiators – it has the option of an All-in-One compact indoor unit with a footprint of 598 x 600mm that houses the DHW tank.
Equally as impressive, Panasonic also achieved a Highly Commended title in the Energy Efficient Product Award category for its innovative R290 ECOi-W AQUA-G BLUE air-to-water reversible heat pump chiller. The range is flexible in application options and is perfect for multi-dwelling and commercial implementation with units from 50-80kW available and with a potential capacity of up to 640 (kW), the system allows connection with up to 8 units in cascade, which are fully customisable with various configuration options. Boasting a low GWP of only 3, the range provides high seasonal performance values with a maximum SEER 4.4 and SCOP 3.9. The chiller’s A++ energy efficiency rating achieves substantial energy savings and improved efficiency ratios, with lower operating costs. The units also deliver the ideal solution for heating, cooling and domestic hot water, producing temperatures of up to 70°C in water from 0°C air temperatures.
Both products exhibit ease of installation and upkeep, offering smart control and advanced, real-time remote monitoring and servicing. The Panasonic Smart Cloud software permits optimised efficiency in product running and monitoring for both client and installer.
