Improve Indoor Air Quality with Panasonic’s New Counter Flow Ventilation Units
28/07/2023
Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has introduced its new Counter Flow Ventilation Units. These units have controlled mechanical ventilation to improve indoor air quality, particularly suitable for residential applications such as single family homes or apartments with low energy requirements.
Indoor air quality is important to our health and wellbeing. People spend almost 90% of their time indoors , where air quality can be affected by penetrating outdoor air, specific indoor pollution sources and the lack of air exchange. By ensuring a steady supply of fresh air into the home, Panasonic’s new Counter Flow Ventilation Units ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment.
The units are equipped with two brushless fans with electronic motor and modulating control to supply and extract air, which ensures quiet operation. Inside the system is a polypropylene cross-counterflow heat exchanger to recover the energy contained in the extracted air to transfer to the supplied air. This significantly reduces the building’s energy consumption whilst maintaining quality air inside. The solution also has a highly efficient air renewal and filtration, with 80% ePM1 filter.
The Counter Flow Ventilation Units are available in three units: universal mounting, horizontal mounting and vertical mounting. The units allow for a simple installation process and the system’s panel is easily accessible for maintenance and inspection
