TAKE CONTROL WITH PANASONIC
29/04/2013
Panasonic has extended the connectivity and control options across its full range of heating and cooling solutions. Via a cloud-based monitoring system, users now have a range of flexible and intelligent solutions to monitor their air conditioning or heat pump units.
Main benefits include:
• NEW energy consumption display for Etherea unit
• Calendar function allows scheduling of heating and cooling cycles
• Monitor and control heating for multiple sites
Customers can use an iPad, iPhone, any Android device or a PC with Internet access, to control their heat pump or air conditioning systems away from their homes at the touch of a button. The new connectivity options are fully compatible with the PACi, ECOi, Aquarea, PKEA server room solutions and Etherea PKE ranges.
Internet control allows a wide variety of control functions, including Start/Stop; Mode Operation; Set Temperature and Room Temperature. It also allows the user to schedule heating and cooling cycles, and contains energy-saving functions through pre-set configurations. It also provides important maintenance reminders to the householder, including dirty air filter alerts, error alerts and contacts for Panasonic’s technical service network. New for 2013, Panasonic have also added a power consumption function for their Etherea PKE model.
A user can now plan and program the climate system during the year using the new weekly scheduler. The user can also configure that every working day the climate system would turn on during the morning before they wake up, turn of just before leaving the house and turn on again before arriving home from work.
Available in either ‘Lite’, ‘Advanced’ or ‘Pro’ versions, Panasonic’s internet control function is attuned to every user’s needs, delivering flexible, intelligent heating and cooling for an energy-efficient and cost-effective home or workplace. While the Lite version is available as standard, the new Advanced and Pro versions offer more advanced functionality including calendar schedules, energy saving tips, as well as the ability to monitor and control heating and cooling over a number of properties.
“Our range of connectivity options represent a substantial improvement in the user’s experience in control of HVAC systems from Panasonic”, says Marc Diaz, UK Country Manager, Panasonic “From anywhere in the world, users can now easily and intuitively (without the need for specific technical knowledge) turn the system on or off, set specific temperatures for each room through a simple touch of a button.”
