Panasonic’s Aquarea Loop Transforms Retrofit Heating and Cooling with Decentralised Water-to-Air Heat Pump Technology
06/02/2025
Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions is pleased to introduce the Aquarea Loop, a new decentralised water-to-air heat pump designed for optimal energy efficiency. This innovative system operates with a low-temperature central water loop of 20⁰ - 30⁰C year-round, providing efficient and sustainable heating and cooling for indoor spaces.
Featuring a compact indoor unit, with a depth of only 140mm, the Aquarea Loop is available in three aesthetically pleasing models. Its built-in DC inverter compressor and sealed refrigerant circuit both utilise the natural refrigerant R290 to enable the unit to perform as an evaporator in heating mode and a condenser in cooling mode. This results in the unit boasting cooling capacities ranging from 1.1 kW – 2.6 kW and heating capacities ranging from 1.10 kW – 3.10 kW that can also automatically adjust depending on ambient conditions, providing seasonal efficiency.
Suitable for a variety of residential and commercial applications, including modern and heritage buildings, hotels and hospitals, the Aquarea Loop enhances efficiency while maximising the use of renewable energy, minimising heat losses in distribution, and significantly improving the environment performance of the building. It can be installed re-using existing piping, replacing conventional radiators and substituting the existing heat source with an Aquarea heat pump, making it an ideal solution for many refurbishment projects.
Additionally, the Aquarea Loop can be supplied with pre-installed hydraulic options, including 2-way and 3-way motorised valves. Furthermore, the unit comes with an optional Condensation Injection Kit, which ensures that if it is not possible to pipe away condensation, it can reinject it into the system.
Controlling the unit has never been simpler, with two types of RC (on-board and wall mounted) with a choice of Modbus or Wi-Fi connectivity to enhance usability further. Additionally, the units come as standard with PI logic control, optimising both comfort and efficiency.
The Aquarea Loop delivers cost-effective installation, enhanced comfort, and significant energy savings, making it the ultimate solution for efficient heating and cooling needs. For more information visit https://www.aircon.panasonic.eu
