Panasonic Wins in Two Categories at H&V News Awards 2023
28/11/2023
Panasonic is thrilled to have won in two categories at the H&V News Awards. The company’s CR Series of cold chain refrigeration units won the Commercial HVAC Product of the Year – Cooling Technology category. The air-e in-ceiling nanoeTM X Generator triumphed in the Commercial HVAC Product of the Year – Components and Peripherals category. The awards were announced at an impressive awards ceremony at the London Hilton Metropole.
The H&V News Awards has been
celebrating the achievements of the HVAC industry for almost 30 years.
Attendees come from the entire HVAC&R supply chain, from manufacturers,
consultants and installers to their customers.
Mick Langford, UK sales Manager (cooling solutions), Panasonic commented, “It was tremendous to be recognised as winners in two categories at the highly acclaimed H&V News Awards. To be recognised as a brand in attaining such high recognition from such admired awards is very pleasing. Winning with our CR Series for Refrigeration units affirms Panasonic’s dedication to creating sustainable and energy efficient solutions within the cold chain and refrigeration sector. To also be recognised with our new air-e device with nanoeTM X demonstrates the focus and innovation Panasonic has consistently shown to the industry around improving indoor air quality. The team and I are very overjoyed with attaining such recognition.”
The sustainable, innovative and flexibility of the Panasonic CR series of cold chain refrigeration units are powered by the natural refrigerant CO2, and now available in cooling capacities from 2kW to 16kW. This growing range of high-quality refrigeration solutions are an ideal solution for a variety of refrigeration applications including chilled cabinets, cold-rooms and freezers in food retail, hotels, restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, petrol stations, healthcare (such as pharmaceutical laboratories), industrial (food processing etc.) and warehouses, making it a worthy winner of the Refrigeration Product System Product of the Year category.
The air-e is Panasonic’s first stand-alone nanoeTM X generator, which can be installed into a suspended ceiling, MF ceiling, or surface mounted (using the surface mount kit) to improve indoor air quality. Suitable for all types of applications where indoor air quality is a priority, this maintenance- and service-free fan unit produces hydroxyl radicals. Abundant in nature hydroxyl radicals have the capacity to inhibit certain pollutants, viruses and bacteria to clean and deodorise the indoor air. nanoeTM X technology has been independently tested and verified with very positive results with many viruses and bacteria being inhibited by 99%.
A single air-e device will provide effective cover for an area of approximately 20 m2 (with a ceiling height of up to 3m). The product is virtually silent in operation and has an extremely low power consumption, with recent tests showing a yearly running cost of just £12.08 based upon an estimated energy cost of £0.35 per kW hour.
