Panasonic Welcomes RHI Announcement

The announcement made by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) now sees the scheme extended for householders and is designed to drive forward uptake of renewable heat technologies in homes across the country to cut carbon, help meet renewables targets and save money on bills.
Commenting on the announcement, Marc Diaz, UK Country Manager for Panasonic said: "We are delighted that the Government has made the decision to extend the scheme and it is the news the renewables industry has been waiting for. The tariff levels released are fair and while a Green Deal assessment is needed, we don't see this as a barrier for householders to receive the full benefit of making the switch to renewable energy."
RHI domestic scheme will support air to water heat pumps; biomass only boilers and biomass pellet stoves with back boilers; ground and water source heat pumps; flat plate and evacuated tube solar thermal panels. The announcement follows extensive consultation on how a financial incentive would work best for householders and takes into account lessons learned from the Renewable Heat Premium Payment grant scheme (RHPP) and the RHI non domestic scheme.
Marc continues "Our Aquarea range of air to water heat pumps are already proving extremely popular with homeowners, specifiers and contractors looking for reliable, easy to use heating and hot water systems offering maximum energy efficiency. We hope that this announcement will encourage more homeowners to discover the savings they can achieve by switching to renewable heating and hot water technology."
Panasonic's Aquarea is the most comprehensive, versatile and cost-effective range of air-to-water heat pumps on the market. It features heat pumps from 3 to 16 kW, single and three-phase alongside stand-alone and split-units.
