Panasonic Unveils RAC Solo: A compact AC system, without an outdoor unit

13/12/2024

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions is launching its latest air conditioning system, RAC Solo. The standalone air-to-air heat pump has been designed to reduce the aesthetic impact of traditional air conditioning units. It utilises ducts, eliminating the need for an outdoor unit, therefore offering an efficient and visually pleasing design.

All capacities of the hyper compact unit have a depth of just 165 mm to blend in with any environment. It is available in four models, with cooling capacities from 1.7kW to 2.87kW and heating capacities from 1.7kW to 2.75Kw. The RAC Solo is an efficient and sustainable air-to-air heat pump, with the 20, 25 and 30 models using R32 refrigerant, while the 16 model utilises R290. With a low sound pressure level, the RAC Solo is also designed to minimise noise disturbance, making it ideal for noise-sensitive areas such as hotels and bedrooms.

Designed for simple installation, the AC unit can be installed on an exterior wall, with two ducts which have outdoor self-foldable grills. The discreet yet elegant indoor unit boasts a fully metal chassis, providing a premium look with a robust body. RAC Solo also optimises both indoor and outdoor space, thanks to its ducts, further saving installation costs and efforts.

P.I. Control manages the operation of the fan to effectively reach set-point and is responsible for keeping the room temperature as optimal as possible regardless of disruptions. RAC Solo also provides multiple operation modes such as cooling, heating, dehumidifying, ventilation as well as functions for noise reduction and energy saving when sleeping.
