Panasonic Unveils Game-Changing Solutions for a Greener UK at InstallerSHOW 2024
25/06/2024
Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions wowed the crowd
at InstallerSHOW 2024 with its latest innovations, new partnerships, and
significant investments in UK training centres. These efforts are set to
revolutionise and speed up the UK's journey to Net Zero. Don't miss these
cutting-edge solutions at stand 5C44!
With 19% of the UK’s carbon footprint produced from energy
used in heating, using gas boilers, Panasonic is leading the way in
decarbonising existing building stocks with its renewable solutions. The future of heating is here, and it's
sustainable!
Enrique Vilamitjana outlined the company’s commitment to a sustainable
future, highlighting Panasonic’s commitment to reducing global CO2
emissions by 200 Mt by 2050 through their Green IMPACT initiatives.
At InstallerSHOW, Panasonic unveiled the new Aquarea M
Series range of air source heat pumps with TCAP technology, an industry game
changer developed to meet the decarbonisation challenge. The new range uses R290 refrigerant which has
a low GWP of only 3. The new Aquarea M
Series range comes with capacities 9, 12, 16, 20, 25 and 30kW with the option
of 300kW in cascade configuration. The M
Series is ideal for installations in individual domestic homes, multifamily or
light commercial buildings.
Aquarea M Series range with T-CAP technology offers
unmatched efficiency and can operate in outdoor temperatures as low as -15°C
and maintain capacity without a backup heater. One
T-CAP unit can provide the same capacity at low temperatures as two other units
without T-CAP technology, reducing the cost of materials and installation, and
saving space.
The NEW Aquarea M Series offers ultimate flexibility,
meaning that its Outdoor unit can be operated by itself solely with its remote
control, if simple functions are sufficient. The Outdoor unit has the option of
a control box or indoor unit to provide the perfect solution for each project.
The latest hydronic solutions show market-leading SCOP,
SEER and DHW COP figures, have flow temperatures of up to 75OC and a
top class ErP for heating. Furthermore, the units have been designed to be
faster and easier to install and more convenient for installers and residents,
with the units being more compact and space-saving for homes with limited
indoor space. Not only does the M Series
deliver exceptional performance, but it also does so with minimal noise,
ensuring maximum comfort.
Users can choose from flexible control options, including
remote control only, or a control module for enhanced functionality. The Big
Aquarea includes Wi-Fi connectivity for Aquarea Smart Cloud and Aquarea Service
Cloud, multiple PCB features, demand control SG Ready, and can provide new
cascade control with several BMS protocol options.
"We've achieved great success in residential solutions
and are now expanding to meet the needs of diverse building types," explained
Enrique Vilamitjana, Managing Director of Panasonic
Heating Ventilation & Air-Conditioning Europe. “The heat pumps are also manufactured in
Europe, to speed up delivery into the market.”
Panasonic also announced new strategic partnerships with
smart control leaders, Tado and Wiser to enhance home energy management and
help reduce energy bills. "These partnerships allow us to offer our
customers greater choice in their heating controls," added Vilamitjana.
In a significant move to answer the demand for
customer-focused aftersales servicing, Panasonic launched its Aquarea Service+
Maintenance Package. "We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our
Service Partner network, providing Panasonic Aquarea Service+ maintenance
packages throughout the UK," explained Jose Alves, Regional Director for
the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
Furthermore, Panasonic has been investing heavily in HVAC&R
future engineers to tackle the industry's skills shortage. Panasonic’s four Centres of Excellence and its
partnerships with fifteen FE colleges is helping younger engineers to face the
changing landscape head-on. A fifth Centre of Excellence has now been planned
for 2024/25. "We're committed to developing the renewable skills required
for a sustainable future," said Alves.
Panasonic's presence at InstallerSHOW 2024 highlighted its focus on building a greener and more sustainable future through its partnerships and collaborations.
