Panasonic Supports
World Refrigeration Day #WRD2023
Panasonic has once again stepped up with support for World
Refrigeration Day 2023. The company works hard to develop heating and cooling solutions
that use natural refrigerants and low-carbon alternatives. Recent innovations
include developing energy efficient and effective solutions using refrigerants
such as R32, R290 and CO2 within its CR Series for cold chains as
well as the new range of Aquarea air to water heat pumps that utilise refrigerants
such as R290 and R32 that have a lower GWP than alternatives.
Jose Alves, Regional Director for UK, Ireland and Netherlands for Panasonic commented “We are pleased to offer our support once again to World Refrigeration Day as a sponsor, especially when the theme embodies our own vision for the future so well. We are involved in a series of events and training sessions throughout the year to highlight the use of low carbon alternatives such CO2 within the cold chain sector and the new R290 range of heat pumps and continuing develop of our own innovations to provide the next generation of cooling technology.”
Titled “Next Generation Cooling: The Future is in our hands” World Refrigeration Day 2023 will look forward to how the modern cooling industry is adapting and evolving to meet the challenges and opportunities within the sector. As a world leader in the industry, with over 60 years of experience in producing innovative products, Panasonic invests heavily in R&D to develop new solutions for the market. Through this, the company puts a huge emphasis on minimising environmental impact.
As no stranger to providing innovative new low-carbon solutions, following World refrigeration day, Panasonic’s announced its new R290 ECOi-W AQUA-G BLUE air to water reversible heat pumps. By utilising R290, a natural refrigerant with a very low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3, this heat pump has a lower environmental impact when released into the atmosphere compared to other refrigerants. It delivers outstanding performance, aligning with Panasonic’s vision of a carbon-free society and its GREEN IMPACT plan.
