Panasonic Sponsors Low Carbon Homes South East Regional Retrofit Summit
28/07/2022
Panasonic is pleased to support the Low
Carbon Homes Regional Retrofit Summit South-East on 18-20th October 2022. The
events are organised by Low Carbon Homes partnered with the European Union Regional Development Fund, HM
Government and LoCase and cover Hampshire, Surrey,
Sussex, Kent and Essex. The Summit explores ways for regions to help
deliver climate and environmental initiatives and lower carbon emissions within
their areas. The event is a series of virtual sessions via the Remo platform.
Panasonic has developed the extensive Aquarea range of air
source heat pumps, a key component in the drive to retrofit homes and to assist
in the drive towards net zero.
Attendees of the Low Carbon Home Retrofit
Summits will be able to see examples of completed retrofit projects, hear about
ongoing work in the social housing sector and learn more about the plans to meet
the work and skills challenges currently facing the retrofit sector.
Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in focused
talks, discuss retrofit best practice with professionals, and join live
Q&As with speakers and fellow attendees to contribute to the retrofit plan
across the region.
Gary Finn, Panasonic’s Low Carbon specialist for the South
East commented, “We are excited to be part of this event and to be contributing
to join in the discussions and collaborations around a low carbon future in the
South East - a top priority for Panasonic. It is important that we highlight
and explore how the heating and cooling industry is evolving and setting new
standards to help combat climate change. Homeowners are increasingly looking
for their homes to be more energy efficient and for low carbon solutions to
provide heating and hot water for their homes. We are very much
looking forward to discussions during the three mornings and beyond.”
Panasonic is a world leader within the heating and cooling industry,
with over 60 years of experience of producing innovative products. The company
invests heavily in R&D to develop innovative solutions to advance the
market, with a huge emphasis on environmental impact, hence the investment in emerging
low carbon technologies such as air source heat pumps.
Graham Lock, Founder of Low Carbon Homes commented, “The
sessions each morning will be informative with focused talks and discussions around Retrofit best
practice – we
look forward to participants joining in and contributing to the plans. Now is
the time to collaborate and work towards a lower carbon future.”
