Panasonic launches new Training Reward for installers switching to heat pumps
26/04/2023
Panasonic has announced its plans for a new ‘Train
to Gain with Panasonic’ reward scheme to
further assist gas boiler engineers and installers to upskill and get qualified
to install and maintain air source heat pumps.
Panasonic
will give installers £500 in rewards (limited to one per company) on completion
of the Level 3 accredited heat pump training following their first Panasonic
installation[1].
Installers completing the
relevant training courses, installing and commissioning an Aquarea system (plus
DHW tank) will be eligible for the scheme, which will provide the installation
company with a £500* reward in the form of Love2ShopVouchers. The qualifying training courses are available
from several training centres across the country offering the Level 3 Award in
the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (Non-refrigerant
Circuits). Claims can be submitted once qualified, and following their first install
of one Aquarea heat pump system with a domestic hot water tank. The
new Panasonic scheme will run from 1st April 2023 to 31st December 2023[2].
Jose Alves, UK Country
Manager for Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions comments, “Interest in
heat pumps has never been higher – and there has to be an expansion of the
skilled installer base for the net zero and decarbonisation of home heating to
be met. There has never been a better
time to get trained, with the availability of government training grants plus
this additional reward from Panasonic. The sooner installers, fitters and gas
boiler engineers get trained, the quicker they can take advantage of these
market opportunities.”
Panasonic
also offers further free product training and support – and will provide free
commissioning support, which can be especially useful for an installer’s first
project.
The Panasonic
Aquarea air to water heat pumps offer the peak of comfort, efficiency, low
energy costs. The new scheme is simple and straightforward – get Level 3
qualified, buy the qualifying products from an authorised Panasonic distributor
or wholesaler, install, commission the system and connect to the cloud – and
then send in the claim.

Pump Systems (Non-refrigerant Circuits)” courses offered – click here: LCL or BPec.
The Panasonic
Aquarea system is an innovative, low-energy air-to-water heat pump system,
designed to help homeowners enjoy ideal temperatures and hot water in their home,
even with extreme outdoor temperatures. An Aquarea heat pump captures fresh air
to heat the property, designed to ensure maximum comfort.
With the increasing
availability and affordability of air source heat pump technology, now is the
time for engineers to explore this alternative and capitalise on the growing
demand for eco-friendly heating solutions. By embracing air source heat
pumps, engineers can position themselves
as industry leaders and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for
all.
