Panasonic Extends Aquarea H Series Bi-Bloc Range To 7 And 9 kW Models
04/05/2016
Panasonic has extended the Aquarea H Series Bi-Bloc heat pump range, to include 7 and 9 kW models. Adding to the existing 3 and 5 kW units, the new, more powerful units ensure that Panasonic’s Aquarea H Series Bi-Bloc heat pump range can be used in a wide range of applications, from smaller residential projects, to larger projects.
The Panasonic Aquarea H Series incorporates an updated design to make it easier to install and a new controller to make the system more user friendly. The H Series has an outstanding energy efficiency rating of A++, providing a sustainable solution to households looking to reduce energy bills.
Key features:
• System label of A+++ at 35ºC and A++ at 55ºC
• Removable control panel with clear LCD display
• Sleek, modern design
• Easy to install and maintain
• 3-way valve ready
• Compatible with Aquarea Smart Cloud control system
Smart controls and easy installation
The outstanding feature of the Aquarea H Series is the easy-to-use control panel, which features a 3.5 inch high-resolution LCD display and large simple buttons. This makes it much easier for users to control the system and set different functions, including new modes such as swimming pool mode. The controller allows users to see energy input and output over days, weeks and months so they can keep track of their energy usage and monitor how much they are saving.
The panel, which includes a temperature sensor, can be removed from the indoor unit and installed elsewhere in the house to enable remote control of the system and act as a thermostat. Its flat, innovative design ensures it won’t look out of place in even the most design conscious home. The new controller can also control the heating in two different zones, and is available in 10 languages from across Europe and Scandinavia.
The H Series indoor unit has undergone a significant redesign to make it more attractive and user friendly. The unit is now a clean, white colour and features a sleek, modern design that is smaller than its predecessor, taking up less installation space.
Panasonic’s longstanding commitment to make installation and maintenance of its products as easy as possible is reflected in the design of the H Series. The reconfigured water filter, which is fitted with new, more effective, water stoppers, is included as standard within the unit. This speeds up installation considerably, and the filter is positioned at the front of the unit for easy access for maintenance. The H Series also includes a newwater flow sensor which measures the current water flow rate, to give a clear indication of the unit’s performance.
The layout of the pipes has also been optimised to enable easier installation for the contractor. The refrigerant pipe is now in line with the water pipe, so that once the water pipe is connected, it is much easier to tighten the refrigerant pipe, which saves the installer significant time. The control box is located on the front of the unit rather than the side, and is held in place with just 6 screws, to make it easier to access. The piping is installed separately from the electrical component, which can be simply removed to give easy access to the piping for installation and maintenance.
The H Series has a number of optional features for a flexible heating solution. Users can install a PCB which can manage several functions such as solar, external switching between heating and cooling, and 0-10V demand signal. Additionally, the design of the H Series means that it can accommodate the optional 3-way valve, which has two outlet pipes, giving installers more flexibility in the system design and a more powerful output. The H Series is also compatible with the new Aquarea Smart Cloud, which, when connected via Wi Fi or wired LAN connection, gives users much more flexible control over their heating.
“The H Series is a fantastic addition to our wide range of Aquarea heat pumps,” says Marc Diaz, UK & Ireland Country Manager at Panasonic Heating and Cooling. “This heating system provides contractors with an easy to install option. We are always looking at how we can make the user experience better, and with our new smart controller I think we have found a great solution.”
Panasonic’s H Series represents a major advance on existing heat pump technology. The new Aquarea technology achieves A++ in both 35ºC and 55ºC, and as a system with controller reaches A+++ at 35ºC. With a new powerful and easy-to-use controller, it is the perfect choice for homeowners and businesses looking for a heating system that will help cut their energy bills.
