Panasonic expands Aquarea range to include the T-CAP Mono-bloc J Generation with R32

25/02/2021

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has further expanded its Aquarea Air to Water Heat Pump Range with the introduction of the highly efficient T-CAP Mono-bloc J Generation system with R32 refrigerant. Available in capacities from 9-16kW, and providing heating, cooling and domestic hot water, options are available for a range of property sizes and heating requirements.  As a mono-bloc system with a single unit outdoors, the T-CAP Mono-bloc R32 is particularly suitable for projects where indoor space is limited.  R32 refrigerant is sealed into the outdoor unit and therefore no refrigerant connections are required indoors, further simplifying installation.

Sustaining Total Capacity

Thanks to the unit’s dual-piped heat exchanger technology, unique to Panasonic, the powerful T-CAP can maintain heating capacity even in low outdoor temperatures down to -20ºC, competing with higher capacity heat pumps and providing users with significant savings in purchase price and running costs.

Highly efficient solution for homes

The new Aquarea T-CAP Mono-bloc is a single system to heat and cool the home and produce hot water, thus solving a variety of problems while allowing occupants to enjoy greater comfort. The T-CAP Mono-bloc is particularly suitable for retrofit projects, as it can easily replace traditional gas or oil boilers and can be simply connected to new underfloor heating, radiators, or fan coil units. The range boasts high energy efficiency, is rated A+++ at 35ºC and A++ at 55ºC plus has an improved SCOP and cooling capacity.  Furthermore, the impressive system can work under higher pressure and reach a 65ºC water flow temperature for the ultimate high performing unit.

R32: Zero Ozone Impact Refrigerant

To support a more environmentally friendly approach, the Mono-bloc uses R32 refrigerant. R32 is easy to recycle, has zero impact on the ozone layer and 75% less impact on global warming in comparison to R22 and R4101A, helping to lower the carbon footprint of a building. It is also a more economical alternative with higher efficiency[1] and 30% less refrigerant used, so customers can enjoy cost savings as well as significant environmental benefits.

The refrigerant circuit is sealed inside the outdoor unit, so there is no need to worry about the amount of refrigerant per room –only water pipes are needed inside the property.

Simple maintenance

Additionally, the system incorporates a magnet filter - which allows damaging metal dust and sludge build up to be filtered and removed, preventing pump failure, and enabling easy maintenance, as well as prolonging the life of the system and its energy efficiency performance.

Convenient smart control and increasing safety

The system is also compatible with the Aquarea Smart Cloud for end-users to remotely control the full range of heating and cooling functions, including monitoring energy consumption for both energy and cost-saving possibilities. Furthermore, with Aquarea Smart Cloud, users can use the smart technology programme IFTTT, which stands for the simple process of ‘If This, Then That’. This advanced technology enables users to automatically trigger actions for Aquarea systems based on other apps, web services or devices, and offers even quicker access to controlling a smart home at the touch of a button or through voice control.

Moreover, it can also be connected to the Aquarea Service Cloud to make remote access simple. It allows installers to remotely access their customer’s heating and cooling systems, which can increase customer satisfaction and safety by reducing response times as the installers can act fact from anywhere, thereby saving time and money.

Available in single phase capacities of 9 kW and 12 kW, with three-phase in 9 kW, 12 kW and 16 kW coming later in the year. The range has units to suit all property sizes and capacity demands.
