Panasonic Celebrates Double Anniversary at Mallorca Convention
• 100 years of the Panasonic company
• 60 years of Panasonic heating & cooling innovation
• 2000 key customers from 42 countries
In February, Panasonic hosted a three-day celebratory convention in Mallorca. Two-thousand customers and 200 press from 42 different countries attended to mark 100 years since Panasonic was founded and 60 years of heating and cooling innovation.
As a world leader in pioneering electronics, Panasonic has formed a diverse network of production and R&D facilities on a global level, enabling them to deliver cutting-edge technologies that set the standard for all other products worldwide. Panasonic has consistently supplied quality and efficiency since its founding in 1918 – including an impressive 91,539 product patents.
The annual convention in Mallorca, held at the Palau de Congressos in Palma, provided a great opportunity to celebrate Panasonic’s key milestones with the people that continue to grow and support the brand – its customers.
The heating & cooling side of Panasonic’s business was developed in 1958, with this year marking 60 years of sustainable and reliable products within the HVAC industry. The wish to excel has made Panasonic an international leader in innovative, efficient and economical heating and air conditioning solutions.
Tony Nielsen – UK Marketing Manager, Panasonic Heating & Cooling added, “Panasonic is a brand trusted by many and to repay that trust, Panasonic constantly invests in R&D to deliver new and innovative products to the market that will further benefit their customers and their environment. The diversification Panasonic has shown throughout the years demonstrates that they are not afraid to take steps into new territories.”
Attendees were given a tour of the Hotel OD Port Portals, the hotel where they were staying. The hotel is installed with Panasonic ECOi two way and GHP ECO G plus DHW solutions, which has helped to reduce energy usage by 73% and contributed to significant cost savings in comparison to if solar panels had been installed.
Several upcoming products were also showcased at the event. Attendees were given an exclusive preview of new HVAC innovations including CO2 condenser units for the retail market, the datanavi app which provides instant product information and service history details directly to a mobile device, and a new floor console, which features Panasonic’s state-of-the-art air purifying technology, nanoe X.
Speakers at the event included guest Dr Ayesha Khanna – CEO AND Co-Founder of Addo Al – an expert in smart city innovation, who explained what the next 30 years may look like with the development of smart cities. Panasonic Europe’s CEO Laurent Abadie also shared insights into what the future holds for the company and its continuing commitment to a better world.
Abadie concludes: “In the next 10 years we will see more innovation in mobility then we have seen over the last 100 years! Electrification, connectivity and automisation will be at the heart of this major revolution. By embracing change, we will maintain our unwavering dedication to leading-edge craftsmanship, performance, and style, and our ultimate commitment to creating A Better Life, A Better World.”
Panasonic will be celebrating its double anniversary at various events throughout 2018 such as at Mostra Convegna in Milan this March (Pavilion 15 Stand U31 V35), where it will be showcasing a selection of innovative HVAC products and unveiling some new additions.
