Panasonic Adds Double Award Win at the Energy Saving Awards to its Successes for 2024
11/12/2024
Panasonic has been announced a two-time winner at the coveted Energy Saving Awards 2024. The company collected the award for Commercial Heating Product of the Year for the ECOi-W AQUA-G BLUE R290 Air to Water Heat Pump range. Panasonic also celebrated a further win for Domestic Installation of the Year with a social housing project, working with housing provider, Together Housing, installers, Concept Heating and distributor, Graham’s. The collaboration uses the Panasonic J Series Aquarea Monobloc air-to-water heat pumps.
This year’s awards were held on 6 December at The De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London and celebrated the vital work from manufacturers, installers, contractors, suppliers and organisations to reduce carbon emissions.
John Kellett, UK Country Manager for Panasonic UK and Ireland, expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s a tremendous honour to have our efforts recognised at these prestigious awards for driving progress in energy-efficient commercial heating and cooling technology. Our ECOi-W AQUA-G BLUE R290 range is designed to enhance energy performance in light commercial, industrial, and multi-occupancy buildings, utilising the natural refrigerant R290. We are also thrilled to see continued acknowledgment of our partnerships with social housing providers like Together Housing. Collaboration is essential to us, and it is a privilege to accept this award alongside Together Housing, Concept Heating, and Graham’s.”
ECOi-W AQUA-G BLUE air-to-water reversible heat pump is Panasonic’s latest commercial air to water heat pump innovation, designed to meet the ever-growing demands of light commercial, industrial, and multi-occupancy residential applications. Powered by R290 with a GWP of only three, the range delivers sustainable solutions to commercial properties.
The Panasonic ECOi-W AQUA BLUE air to water heat pump system can reach up to 70° C leaving water temperature, making the unit a sustainable and energy-efficient solution for heating, cooling and hot water consumption in commercial buildings. With multiple capacity options, the products can work in cascade of up to 8 units to create an efficient heating solution for larger, more complex building applications. The unit maximises energy savings and minimises environmental impact by adopting sustainable solutions without compromising on energy efficiency. With high seasonal performance values, and a maximum SEER 4.4 and SCOP 3.9 delivers outstanding performance year-round.
Together Housing is one of the country's largest social housing providers, partnered with Panasonic to deliver sustainable heating solutions to over 1,200 properties across the North of England as part of its “Go Green Together” agenda. So far, the collaboration has enabled over 700 homes to transition from gas boilers to renewable solutions using the Panasonic J Series Aquarea Monobloc air-to-water heat pumps, distributed by Graham’s and installed by Concept Heating in Yorkshire and Lancashire. Panasonic is providing 5, 7 and 9 kW units for retrofitting in 1 to 3-bedroom properties. By the end of this year, a further 750 homes will also undergo this transition.
