Consultants Given A Taste Of Italy By Panasonic Heating And Cooling
21/04/2016
Panasonic Heating and Cooling took 10 Building Services Consultants from some of the UK’s top engineering practices to the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort exhibition in Milan last month, to experience Panasonic’s market-leading technology first hand.
With a wide range of innovative products on display the visiting consultants were given a thorough introduction to the technology on show. Panasonic showcased its new hybrid Gas-Electric VRF, Smart Cloud Solution and 2-pipe ECOi EX VRF system, which has recently been launched across Europe.
Specification Sales Manager at Panasonic, James Chaplen, commented “Mostra Convegno was an ideal platform for us to share Panasonic’s newest and most advanced products. Having a group of leading consultants join us for the event was a fantastic way to showcase our commitment to innovation and also to our customers. They were all very enthused by the technology on show.”
The new 2-pipe ECOi EX system is designed to dramatically increase energy savings by delivering very high ESEER rating. The ECOi EX is, as with all Panasonic products, highly reliable, even when operating at extreme ambient temperatures, the units ensure 100 per cent of capacity at temperatures as high as 43°C in cooling and as low as -20°C in heating.
The system significantly reduces energy costs thanks to “All-Inverter Compressors”, which are independently controlled to deliver a highly flexible performance. Also, the ECOi EX features an enlarged triple stage heat exchanger, which enables an improved heat transfer and a newly designed curved air discharge bell-mouth for better aerodynamics. The three-stage oil recovery design makes it able to minimise the frequency of forced oil recovery, leading to reduced energy costs and sustained comfort.
“The trip with Panasonic to Mostra Convegno Expocomfort was a fanastic experience,” said Jairo Jaramillo, Mechanical Engineer at Hurley Palmer Flatt. “It was a great opportunity to see all these new and exciting products in isolation, rather than installed on site, as it let us get a really clear idea of how they work. I thought the Smart Cloud control solution was particularly interesting, as it makes it so much easier to control your heating and cooling, especially for those managing large estates.”
As part of its activities at Mostra Covegno, Panasonic unveiled its European business strategy for the next two years at an exclusive press conference. Panasonic will be focusing in particular on generating significant growth in its commercial air conditioning business, and making major investments in new solutions and support services for professional partners.
